Changing Landscape

So…Bonn has just lost one of its landmarks and I heard the detonation of the blasting 16 km away from Bonn. I was visiting the house of Konrad Adenauer in Rhöndorf, 1. chancellor of Germany after WWII when we heard the blast…it sounded like a rolling thunder or a bomb (there are still many bombs in the ground from WWII and now and then, during construction work, a bomb blows up).

A 60 m high building of concrete and steel gone in 4 seconds. I just hope that the new building will be designed by an inspired architectural team and not become another boring eyesore to endure for decades..Take a look at the 4 second event: Good bye Bonn center
